About Cary:

Ava is the third child of Jesse and Joanna. At an early age, Ava showed great musical giftedness and promise. In 1976 Ava won the coveted title of "Miss Black Expo Princess." She was also selected to perform with the Mae Ami Chorus, one of the state's most competitive choruses. Ava was the second African American to receive the Mae Ami Award in the state of Kentucky. Ava has also made numerous appearances on the popular television show "Showtime at the Apollo" held at the historic Apollo Theatre in New York. Ava is determined to use her talent as more than a way to achieve personal gain and notoriety. Her main goal is to sing and bless the world with her anointed gift.
