PASSION GO 4 -- 0 !!!

With 535 passing yards, 1100 rushing yards, and only giving up a total of 14 points in the last 3 games, the Pittsburgh Passion have exploded on the winning streak of the summer. The team will travel to play arch rival Cleveland for a second time on May 26th. The outcome in Cleveland will largely determine which team is guaranteed a playoff birth. The team returns home for two more regular season games on the South Side, June 2nd and June 16th. The first round of playoffs for the National Women's Football Association will ensue on June 23rd.

Catching on like wildfire, many familiar Pittsburghers have caught the first two Passion home games from the sidelines, including Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, Franco Harris, and Charlie Batch, with Tunch and Wolf scheduled to do the coin toss for the team on June 2nd.

Jeff Ogden, former NFL wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys, has joined the Passion as a Special Teams Coach. Ogden joins NFL Vets and Passion coaches Ron Coder, former Offensive Lineman for the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Cardinals, and Bay Lawrence, former All-Pro Defensive Back for the Atlanta Falcons.

"We have been blessed with many wonderful people on and off the field. Now with our games on television, audiences are getting the chance to see how real it is. It's encouraging to see young people in the stands and know that we are working to build new opportunities for their futures", said team owner, Teresa Conn.

Passion games on television have hit viewers all over the region OnDemand. A full tv schedule is available at www.pittsburghpassion.com.

Home games are played on Saturday nights at Cupples Stadium, 930 E. Carson Street on the South Side. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students and kids. The Passion is a licensed team in the National Women's Football Association. The 2007 league championship will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on July 21st.
The National Women's Football Association is not affiliated with the National Football League.
