The Pittsburgh Passion will enter its fifth season of women's full-contact
football in Pittsburgh and has signed a broadcast deal with Fox Sports
Radio 970AM.
Fox Sports Radio, the flagship station for the Pittsburgh Steelers, The
Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Pitt Panthers, has long been known as the
home to the "most Pittsburgh sports and the best Pittsburgh talk".
"We're proud to add the Pittsburgh Passion to an already impressive list
of sports programming", said Fox 970 Program Director, Bob McLaughlin.
The station will broadcast all Pittsburgh Passion home games in 2007, and
host regular interviews and commercials throughout the season.
"We are privileged for the partnership. Fox Sports Radio has gone above
and beyond, and we look forward to a long and wonderful
relationship", said team owner, Teresa Conn.
To kick off the partnership, the Passion will play an exciting flag
football scrimmage against the radio station on Saturday November 18th, at
3pm, at the 57th Street Field, by The Church Brew Works. All are
encouraged to come watch the fun.
Season ticket packages will go on sale this winter, with the Passion
season slated to begin in April of 2007. |
