PASSION STRETCH WINNING STREAK TO 3 GAMES
The Passion hammered the Cincinnati Sizzle 41-0 to stretch their winning streak to three games. The Passion completely dominated Cincinnati, piling up 414 yards of total offense to 60 total yards for the opposition. Grinding up 350 yards on the ground, Pittsburgh was led by quarterback Lisa Horton who picked up 127 yards on just six carries, including a 54 yard scamper in the second quarter.

Lori Johnson got the hat trick, scoring three touchdowns on runs of 48, 8 and 4 yards. She carried seven times overall for 94 yards. Lyndsi Hughes and Lori Burkholder each scored touchdowns while gaining 55 and 46 yards respectively. The Passion averaged 8.8 yards per carry for the game. With the running game clicking, Horton did not have to put the ball up often, but she completed four passes for 64 yards, with an 18 yard scoring toss to wide receiver Wilma Walton.

As they have been throughout this season, the defense was the story once again, ringing up their third consecutive shutout and running their scoreless streak to 13 quarters. The Sizzle ran 26 times for just net 44 yards, with half of their running plays (13 carries) going for zero or negative yardage. They held the Cincinnati to seven total first downs, three of which came on penalties. Linebacker Beth Amato led the way with five tackles. T Conn contributed a sack and an interception, and Kelly Stoner also picked off a pass.

Fortunately, the team seems to have found a reliable place kicker, as Laurie Roberts was three of four on extra-point conversions.
