WOMEN'S FOOTBALL SEEING STARS!
The National Women's Football Association, the largest football league in the world for women, has announced that the theme for the 2006 season is "Seeing Stars."

The NWFA, which is heading into its 6th season, is now positioned to really promote some of the exceptional female athletes who play in the league. "Some of these players are also highly successful in other sports and have backgrounds that are great storylines. We feel that it's time these outstanding players get the attention and applause they deserve," states league CEO, Catherine Masters.

The "Seeing Stars" campaign will be multifaceted and will include a media kit, news releases, audio casts on Tel-Cast and a "Player Spotlight" which can be found on the NWFA's global website. "We're going to promote our stars to the world. It's time the media and the general public started getting to know these outstanding women on and off the field," adds league VP Debby Lening.

The first player to be highlighted is Lisa Horton. Horton is the Quarterback for the Pittsburgh Passion. Horton is entering her 4th season.
The National Women's Football Association is not affiliated with the National Football League.
