As you may know, the Pittsburgh Passion is one of the most popular teams in the rapidly emerging sport of women’s full-contact football, carrying a roster of over 55 women and 20 staff members. A member of the Northern Division of the NWFA (National Women’s Football Association), the Passion kicked off their inaugural season in 2003, and drew impressive crowds. Under the ownership of Teresa Conn, and her explosive staff , the Passion once again lead the league in attendance. The Passion’s home games are played at Cupples Stadium (South Stadium) in the South Side.

The reason for this letter is the Passion is currently gathering sponsorships and donations for our outing. This is a great opportunity to promote your business and get your name out in the community. It is also an opportunity for the community to support and meet the Passion players, coaches and staff. We are writing you to ask if you are willing to be a sponsor or donate toward our outing. Below is a list of sponsorships available with all of the details.

The following are types of sponsorships available for the Pittsburgh Passion Golf Outing:

• Gold Sponsorship -- $250
  Businesses or individuals may sponsor a contest hole at the event and their name will be featured on an attractive sign on one of the CONTEST holes and on the Passion website.
   
• Hole Sponsor -- $100
  Businesses or individuals may sponsor a hole at the event and their name will appear on an attractive sign at the tee box and on the Passion website.
   
• Donation
  Donations will be used as door prizes, and each will be announced several times before their giveaway. This, in turn, will promote your business throughout the evening and generate revenue without spending advertising dollars.

Donations for the golf outing will be used for auctions. Does your company manufacture or sell a product that can be auctioned off? Perhaps your business performs some type of service, whether it is a restaurant, cleaning service, car repair or such. We have also had companies donate tickets to such things as Pirate games, Penguin games, and many other local events. Any donation is greatly appreciated! All donations will be passed as auction prizes to patrons of your local community.
